Kevin Stamper
Kevin completed a B.Ed honors degree in Design and Technology at King Alfred's College, Winchester and taught for ten years before setting up the company in 1992. Kevin has designed and made many pieces of furniture over the past 15 years, ranging from single display cabinets to whole room schemes for Michelin starred restaurants. As the chief designer of the company, he draws inspiration from geometric forms found in architecture and particularly admires the themes of the Modern Movement and the design proportions of the Art Deco movement.
He has successfully shown furniture at many exhibitions including A Celebration of Craftsmanship, SOFA (Chicago), Classic (Belgium), Art in Action, House and Garden and Decorex and his work has been featured in many magazines and publications.
"The furniture we make represents our times and should be of the highest quality to see off the poorly conceived, mass-produced imports available on the High Street. We want to make furniture that is both inspirational and beautiful; and we can make it to a competitive budget using the tools at our disposal and a combination of innovative and traditional techniques. Whilst our furniture needs to be contemporary and honest in design, it should be of a standard to outlast 'fashion' and give joy for many years."
